I counsel adults who are seeking personal growth, experiencing grief and loss, or managing transitions such as divorce. In my work with couples, I teach effective communication skills and explore ways to improve intimacy and experience a sexually fulfilling relationship.
Infertility counseling has been my special focus since 1992 when I began working as a consultant to the two largest reproductive medicine clinics in Atlanta. Since that time, I have counseled hundreds of individuals, couples and groups as they made decisions and explored the many challenges associated with building a family. These challenges include pregnancy loss, secondary infertility, sexual problems, emotional upsets, relationship difficulties, and parenting after infertility.
I consult with individuals and couples who are using assisted reproductive technologies such as in vitro fertilization and alternative family building options such as egg, sperm or embryo donation, and gestational surrogacy. In addition, I do psychological evaluations of egg donors and surrogates for clinics and agencies throughout the country.
I have studied, practiced and taught yoga in the holistic tradition of Sri T Krishnamacharya since 1983 and also teach breathing techniques, yoga postures, meditation, visualization, relaxation and stress reduction to my clients. I often incorporate the use of music evoked imagery in my sessions as a powerful technique for healing and wholeness.
